Winco

Arlene just got back from Winco and found Italian style ground turkey for only $1.38/lb.  It comes in prepackaged 1.2lb packages.  Check to make sure that they ring up correctly as she had a little problem with it.

Thanks Arlene.

Treasured Memories is closing

Treasured Memories (a scrapbooking store) is going out of business.  They have already closed their doors but are opening them back up for one day.  On Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 6pm they will be open.  They are hosting an event to make cards for soldiers.  They will provide all of the materials except adhesive.  You will need to bring your own.

After making some cards, plan to do some shopping.  Everything is 50% off.  However, you will need to bring cash.

So, go on down to Treasured Memories for a good cause and remember it is CASH only.  They are located at 1510 South Wells Avenue, Reno.

Thanks Arlene for the info.

Free pasta at Smith's

At Smith's this week (until Tuesday, May 17) the Ronzoni pasta is on sale this week for $0.99.  If you buy 10 items from their 10 item Mega Event, you get $5 off your purchase.  On the website http://www.itpaystoeatpasta.com/, there is, on the green header, a link to coupons.  Click on that link and fill out the information.  Don't forget to select the type of pasta you want to get.  You can print two of each coupon (for each computer you have) by hitting the back button once the coupons have printed.  I was able to print out 8 coupons and each coupon was good on two boxes of pasta.  Therefore, I was able to get 16 boxes of pasta for free.

Remember that you have to buy in groups of 10 to get the $5 off  and that you have to use your Smith's card.  If they are out of pasta, get a rain check.  Make sure they list the pasta for $0.49.

If you need some other things to make it a group of 10, the Arrowhead water is only $0.49 (after the $5 off) for 3 liters.  A great thing to add to your emergency kits or storage.

Welcome!

I love to save!  Who doesn't?  There is nothing better than hearing how much money others have saved and the great bargains they have found.  I know that I love to share my successes and have others be able to get in on the same deals.  The challenge is finding a convenient way to distribute that knowledge.  Thus, the idea for this blog was born. While there are a lot of different websites that will tell you about specific stores and their deals, the hope is that this blog will be focused on the stores that are in our area and the deals that we have found.

So, how is this going to work?  We would like to start off small, just coupons and local deals, for now.  We will post deals that we find (see our first post) and/or coupons that match up to sales (see next post).

However, we are going to need your help.  As the saying goes "The more people, the merrier."  The more people that share the deals that they have found, the better this blog will be.  So, if  you find a great deal and want to share, email me.  Please be aware, however, that we are not going to be able to verify each deal.

As we go along, we would like to swap more things, like recipes, clothes, freezer meals, books, etc.

So, let us know what you think, what types of thinks you would like to swap in the future and what we can do to help.
